The Children’s Alps Museum offers an educational program highlighting the increasingly dramatic effects of climate change on Alpine ecosystems: retreating glaciers, shrinking and shorter-lasting snow cover, and rising temperatures.
The Children’s Alps Museum offers an educational program highlighting the increasingly dramatic effects of climate change on Alpine ecosystems: retreating glaciers, shrinking and shorter-lasting snow cover, and rising temperatures. With a special focus on the mountains of the Aosta Valley, the visit provides an immersive and interactive journey through the region’s four most iconic peaks and their glacial areas: Monte Rosa, Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, and Gran Paradiso. The Museum is the result of years of research promoted by Fort Bard, created to promote and raise awareness of the Alpine environment in the Aosta Valley, with particular attention to its ongoing transformations
