B’Art Atelier
A new space dedicated to art is open to the public in the village of Bard. It is the atelier of artist Vanda Sarteur. Born in Montjovet in Valle d’Aosta, where she lives, she works in her own atelier in the village. Since 1986, she has drawn inspiration for her paintings from the teachings of figurative painters, including the masters Giuseppe Tecco, Sergio Gianesini and Gabriel Girardi, using oil and acrylic techniques. A few years later, she learnt the watercolour technique with Piedmontese artists Lia Laterza and Adelma Mappelli, and as a result of the passion she nurtures, since 2016 she has refined her technique with Pasqualino Fracasso, an artist from Valle d’Aosta and with the workshops of international artists such as Chien ChungWei from China, Ali Abbas Sayed from Pakistan, David Poxon from England, Janine Gallizia from Australia, Eudes Correia from Brazil and Alvaro Castagnet from Paraguay.
These artists have inspired her personal representation of figurative art which also addresses social issues. She has taken part in numerous group exhibitions with the Associazione Artisti Valdostani and gallery owners in important cities such as Milan, Rome, Palermo, the Palazzina di Caccia in Stupinigi, Spoleto, Aosta, Saint-Vincent, Ivrea, Biella, Benevento, Velletri, Pescara, Pineto, Chieti, and Viareggio. She has exhibited in other group shows in London, Recife (Brazil), Madrid, and in France at the Salon International de’ l aquarelle in Uckange. She has staged some 20 solo exhibitions.
