Street Art Revolution Banksy & Co.: Art Journeys

In progress: 21/06/2025 – 02/11/2025

Street Art Revolution. Banksy & Co.: Art Journeys is the title of the last exhibition promoted by Fort Bard in conjunction with 24 Ore Cultura, dedicated to one of the most impactful and influential art forms of contemporary times. Street Art is a movement that has transcended boundaries in culture, geography and time, challenging conventions and rules imposed by society. Street art originated in New York and its suburbs, and has since evolved into a form of expression capable of engaging an increasingly broad and diverse audience.
From 21 June to 2 November 2025.

Curated by Patrizia Cattaneo Moresi, the exhibition spotlights evolutions in the movement’s styles and techniques, and its ability to engage with reality, push back boundaries, and cross social, political and cultural frontiers. The exhibition unfolds in the Cannoniere rooms of the fortress, showcasing 50 works, including a site-specific art piece created on the exhibition walls themselves by Edoardo Ettorre.

Divided into six sections, the exhibition traces the development and explosion of the movement – from the origins of graffiti and its early pioneers such as Taki183 and Seen, to the works of the major figures in Street Art, including Banksy, Obey and JR, who have brought global recognition to the movement. The French, Italian, and broader European scenes add further depth to this journey through the styles, techniques and emotions that define urban art today.

Each work on display is a tangible sign of how art can become a meeting point and a place of passage, where stories, experiences and traditions intertwine in a seamless flow of creativity and innovation. Fort Bard, an iconic place of transit, becomes a crossroads of artists and innovative forms of expression, breathing life into an art itinerary that, starting from the Cannoniere rooms, will spill over into the outdoor spaces of the fortress with two site-specific works created by Raul and the Truly Design artist crew. The project will also reach out into the surrounding territory of the Lower Aosta Valley, involving the municipalities of Donnas, Pont-Saint-Martin, and Perloz with original works that will take shape over the course of the exhibition.
