MUSEUMS
The heart of the Fort, amidst art, culture, history, and territory.
Fort Bard, an imposing fortress at the entrance to the Aosta Valley, is a cultural hub offering several museum tours.
The Alpine Museum, the heart of the Opera Carlo Alberto, is an immersive journey through 29 rooms to discover the mountains in all their aspects. In the historic Prisons, a multimedia tour narrates the fortress’s evolution, from Napoleon’s siege to its 19th-century reconstruction.
The Museum of Fortifications and Borders, in the Opera Ferdinando, explores the evolution of defense techniques and the concept of the Alpine frontier.
Finally, L’Alpe dei Ragazzi, dedicated to younger visitors and currently undergoing renovations until fall 2025, will feature a new exhibition on climate change.
